Booking and payment

Reserving your place

Public events book through the contacts page or by phone; the concierge confirms by email with your manifest details. Private formats start the same way and finish with a signed event agreement and deposit.
Public events typically sell six to ten weeks out. Private celebrations need six to eight weeks, corporate summits eight to ten, and full-ship charters four to six months. Dates hold seven days without deposit while you decide.
Cards and bank transfer for all bookings, and invoiced corporate accounts on net-30 terms for approved B2B clients. Tournament buy-ins aboard accept card and cash at the cashier desk.
Yes, up to 72 hours before departure at no charge, provided the new guest meets the event's requirements. The concierge handles manifest updates by email.
Full refund more than 30 days out, credit or half refund between 30 and 7 days, transfers inside a week. If we cancel, you choose between a full refund and a credit. Full detail lives in the refund policy.
Gaming and rules

At the tables

Only where the format states it. Championship events and the salon run real-stakes poker under our event licensing. Themed nights, corporate events and celebrations use fun money converted to prizes, with no gambling.
Eighteen for real-money formats, verified at check-in and again at the gaming floor. Fun-money private charters can admit younger guests with a guardian present.
No. Fun-money formats remove stakes entirely, taught tables run all evening and dealers actively enjoy teaching. The masterclass exists for players who want structured improvement.
Professional dealers from licensed Queensland rooms deal every game, and tournament directors with mainland series experience rule the floor. Rulings during play are final and logged for review.
Championship legs award points by finishing position under the published structure. Standings update after each leg and decide seeding and bonus entries at the Grand Final.
Life aboard

The practical details

All events embark at the Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal on Wharf Street. Check-in opens ninety minutes before departure; boarding packs arrive by email with your confirmation.
Vessels are large, stabilised and cruise sheltered waters, so serious seasickness is uncommon. Ginger tablets sit at the purser's desk and crew are trained to help. Guests prone to it should medicate before boarding.
Smart casual is the default. Galas and the salon run black tie or equivalent; themed nights invite dressing to the theme but never require it. Decks are flat and heels work fine.
Yes, at reduced partner fares covering cabins, dining, reef excursions and the social programme. Around a third of guests on multi-day voyages never sit at a table.
The galley handles every standard dietary requirement with notice at booking. Main decks are accessible; tell the concierge your needs and we will place you on the right vessel and cabin level.
Private events

Charters and celebrations

On private formats, yes: themes, chips printed with your branding, bespoke menus, prize structures and itinerary adjustments within the vessel's range. Your named contact builds the programme with you.
Ten guests makes a viable private evening aboard Solitaire, our twenty-guest yacht. Groups of 20 to 60 suit a deck charter; beyond that you are into corporate summit or full-ship territory.
Routinely. A corporate summit might add a Gatsby evening; a charter might include a tournament plus learn-to-play tables for guests' families. Describe the shape and we build the programme.

Legal and regulatory

The fine print, in plain terms

Real-stakes formats run as structured tournament events under our licensing arrangements, with published rules and fixed buy-ins. Fun-money formats involve no gambling at all. The framework is set out in our legal notice.
Our voyages operate in Australian territorial waters under Queensland law and maritime regulation. The vessel operator's conditions of carriage apply to passage; our event terms cover everything that happens on the floor.
Booking details feed the passenger manifest and your concierge file only. We comply with the Privacy Act and never sell data. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
You choose a full refund or a credit for any future date within 18 months. Itinerary changes for weather or safety are not cancellations. The schedule sits in the refund policy.
