2. Nature of services

Pacific Event Cruises is an event management company. We design, market and operate poker evenings, tournaments, corporate events and private functions aboard chartered cruise vessels departing Australian ports.

We are not a casino operator and do not hold a casino licence. Gaming formats are conducted as social tournament poker or fun money entertainment within the applicable regulatory framework, as described below.

Vessels are operated by their licensed owners and maritime regulation of the voyage itself rests with the vessel operator.

3. Gaming framework

Real-money formats offered aboard are structured tournament poker events conducted under our event licensing arrangements, with published rules, fixed buy-ins and prize pools funded by entry fees. No house rake is taken from prize funds.

Corporate, charity, celebration and themed formats operate on fun money with no monetary stake, converted to non-cash prizes. These formats involve no gambling within the meaning of Queensland gaming legislation.

All participants in real-money formats must be 18 years or older. Age verification occurs at check-in and again at the gaming floor.
