A poker room that happens to have a horizon
Pacific Event Cruises began with a simple observation: every casino evening held on land was a venue hire problem, and every evening held on the water became a story people retold for years. We are a Cairns event agency that stages poker nights, tournaments and casino receptions aboard chartered liners sailing the Coral Sea.
Four seasons in, our calendar spans championship series with published rulings, themed fun-money nights for crowds who have never held chips, and a private salon that regulars treat as a second club. Dealers come from licensed Queensland rooms. The galley is our own. The itinerary is the Great Barrier Reef.

Before you book
No. Around a third of guests at any public event have never
played a hand. Taught tables run every evening,
learn-to-play nights exist for complete beginners, and
fun-money formats mean nobody's night rides on their skill.
Only where the format says so. Championship events and the
salon run real-stakes poker under our event licensing.
Themed nights, corporate events and celebrations use fun
money converted to prizes, with no gambling at all.
All events embark at the Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal on
Wharf Street, ten minutes' walk from the Esplanade. Check-in
opens ninety minutes before departure and the terminal has
secure overnight parking for multi-day voyages.
Yes, and the voyages are designed around it. Partner fares
cover cabins, dining, reef excursions and the social program
without a seat at the tables.
Guests must be 18 or over for real-money formats, verified
at check-in and at the gaming floor. Fun-money private
charters can admit under-18s with a guardian.
